Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms cover this website and the demo on it. The extension is open source under the MIT licence, and that licence alone governs the software.
The software
Sheaf is released under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, change and share it on those terms. Nothing on this page adds to that licence or takes anything away from it.
The demo
- It runs in your browser and saves nothing.
- Keep confidential material out of it. A browser tab is no place for work you care about, and nothing can be recovered once you close it.
Early access
- The extension is early and incomplete. Features may change or disappear.
- Defects can lose work, so keep your files in version control.
- It edits Markdown files in place. Trust it as you would any tool with write access to your working directory.
No warranty
This site and everything reachable from it are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any claim, damage or other liability arising from this site, the demo or the software, including lost data or lost work.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to this site or the systems serving it.
Links
Some pages link to sites outside this project's control. Their own terms apply when you follow those links.
Changes
These terms may change, and the date at the top changes with them. Using the site after that means the revised terms apply.
